Lab Outing to Partnachklamm 2018
For this lab outing we decided to hike in and around the Partnachklamm in the south of Bavaria. After a little breakfast in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, we hiked to the gorge and then had lunch on the mountain. For a successful end to this day, we enjoyed dinner and beer at Kloster Andechs.
Soapbox Science Munich 2018
This year, Soapbox Science took place for the first time in Munich at Odeonsplatz. Soapbox Science is a novel science platform that aims to increase the visibility of women scientists and their work among the general public. The events transform public spaces into places of learning and scientific debate, bringing cutting-edge research to the city streets in a fun, accessible and non-intimidating way. Congratulations to Johanna Kobler, one of the organizers, as well as to Catherine-Marie Blais and Julia Claussen, who volunteered to make the event a great success!
Weihenstephaner mountain run 2018
Under the name "flyosophers" our lab members conquered the rain and the Weihenstephaner Berg twice. Congratulations to Catherine-Marie Blais, Jean-Francois De Backer, Anna Erb and Johanna Kobler! Good job and great teamwork!
